(DENVER) - June, 15, 2010 - Summer lunches and live music are returning to Downtown Denver’s Civic Center Park! The fifth-annual CIVIC CENTER EATS Outdoor Café will launch Tuesday, June 15, 2010 – just as construction is winding down on the Better Denver bond-funded restoration of Civic Center’s historic Greek Theater and Voorhies Memorial. Proceeds will benefit the Civic Center Conservancy, a nonprofit dedicated to restoring, enhancing and activating Denver’s historic Civic Center Park.
Every Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. through August 31, CIVIC CENTER EATS will provide an opportunity for downtown employees, residents, and visitors to experience the beauty of Civic Center, enjoy a delicious outdoor lunch, purchase unique Colorado goods, listen to live music and connect with the community. Shaded tables will be provided. Local jazz band Eohippus will be performing live at Tuesday’s kickoff, with a different local band playing each week.
The CIVIC CENTER EATS Outdoor Café will take place from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. every Tuesday from June 15 through August 31.
CIVIC CENTER EATS Outdoor Market & Café is presented by the Civic Center Conservancy and produced by Hobnob Events with support from our generous community sponsors: Qwest (Presenting Sponsor), The Denver Post, City and County of Denver (Parks and Recreation, Public Works and Denver Office of Cultural Affairs), HealthONE, Encana, Riverfront Park Community Foundation, BP America, Noble Energy, FirstBank, Foster Graham Milstein & Calisher, LLP; Kiewit Building Group, Callahan Capital Partners, Holme Roberts & Owen LLP, Questar, Wells Fargo, Humphries Poli Architects, Building Restoration Specialties, Inc.; Patton Boggs LLP, GE Johnson, and Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, LLP.
