Civic Center EATS Expands in 2011

DENVER’S FAVORITE SUMMER LUNCH TRADITION RETURNS (& EXPANDS)

Delicious Food, Fresh Air, Gorgeous Views, Live Music & a Great Cause

(DENVER) Metro Denver’s largest gathering of gourmet food trucks and carts returns to Downtown Denver’s Civic Center Park with more days and vendors…

The sixth-annual CIVIC CENTER EATS Outdoor Café will launch on Denver’s Election Day – Tuesday, June 7, 2011 – just as construction is nearing completion on the Better Denver bond-funded restoration of Civic Center’s Broadway Terrace. Proceeds help support Civic Center Park revitalization efforts through the nonprofit Civic Center Conservancy.

Every Tuesday AND Thursday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. through September 29 (excluding 9/1 and 9/6), CIVIC CENTER EATS will provide an opportunity for downtown employees, residents, and visitors to experience the beauty of Civic Center, enjoy a delicious outdoor lunch, listen to live music and connect with the community. Shaded tables are provided. Civic Center Park is located at Broadway and Colfax.

On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays during the same summer time period – when the park is not otherwise reserved for other events – smaller-scale lunch vending will be available, featuring three to four mobile food entrepreneurs per day.  Follow "Denver's Civic Center Park"  on Facebook for daily vending updates.

CIVIC CENTER EATS is presented by the Civic Center Conservancy and produced by Hobnob Events with support from our generous community sponsors: The Denver Post Community, BP, Manpower, Pioneer Natural Resources, Denver Parks and Recreation, Kiewit Building Group, Mile High United Way, Noble Energy, Sherman & Howard L.L.C., SM Energy, Building Restoration Specialties, Inc., Callahan Capital Partners, Hogan Lovells, QEP Resources, Wells Fargo, and JE Dunn Construction.
