The Civic Center Conservancy and Arts & Venues Denver present LIGHT | An Illuminated Celebration of the McNichols Building in Civic Center Park on Wednesday, October 24, 2012, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Featuring light-based art installations on the interior and exterior of the building, music, and food/drink stations from several of Denver’s favorite restaurants, LIGHT will re-introduce the historic (currently-under-renovation) Carnegie Library to the Denver community as a vibrant cultural center and unique venue for special event rentals, temporary exhibitions and community gatherings.

The LIGHT Party will feature music by DJ Almighty I.Z. and DJ Ginger Perry; light demonstrations by Ghost Pixel  in partnership with CEAVCO; and illuminated art displays by Collin Parson, and light installations from Blazen Illuminations.  Attendees will enjoy food and drinks from Cru Wine Bar, LoHi Steakbar, Opus Restaurant and Aria Wine Bar, Panzano, Pinche Tacos, The Populist, Vesta Dipping Grill, Zengo and OAK at fourteenth co-owner/mixologist Bryan Dayton with bartending provided by Three Tomatoes Catering.

The LIGHT Party aims to raise awareness of the soon-to-reopen McNichols Building (which will be managed by Arts & Venues Denver) and serve as a fundraiser for the nonprofit Civic Center Conservancy's efforts to revitalize Civic Center Park - elevating and sustaining it as an active and iconic cultural and community hub.
