Civic Center MOVES

Free fitness classes: Mondays through Wednesdays

Civic Center MOVES is a free fitness series for all fitness levels.  Launched by the Civic Center Conservancy in spring 2014, the series will largely move indoors for the fall to the historic McNichols Civic Center Building beginning October 6th thanks to a partnership with Denver Arts & Venues.

All particpants in Civic Center MOVES Classes will be required to sign a waiver the first time they attend a class. Waivers will be available on-site, but you can also download one HERE
 

SCHEDULE & CLASS DESCRIPTIONS:


Monday Evenings (6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.): Yoga with Prana Fitness

McNichols Civic Center Building, 144 W. Colfax
Move, sweat, and loosen to an all-levels outdoor vinyasa yoga class that is sequenced to open your bold heart, unlock your emotional hips, and get your blood moving through every fiber of your body. At the end of class, wind down and relax with soothing stretches and a moment of quiet reflection.  Please bring your own yoga mat. 
 

Tuesday Lunchtimes (12:15 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.): Full-Body Conditioning with Pearl Street Fitness (presented by Fairlife, LLC)

McNichols Civic Center Building, 144 W. Colfax
Progress at your own pace through a series of strength, conditioning, and cardio blasts that will balance your body, rev your metabolism and leave you feeling uplifted. All levels welcome.

 

Wednesday Mornings (6:15 a.m. -7:00 a.m.): Free Fitness Tribe with November Project-Denver

OUTDOORS in Civic Center Park: Greek Theater
November Project is a free grassroots fitness tribe aimed at building community that relies on the accountability of members to show up each morning regardless of the weather conditions or their busy schedule in the day ahead. The exercise routines are scalable in order to allow people of all shapes, sizes, and athletic abilities to come together in the same venue to run, climb, and burpee at their own pace. In 45-minutes, you will get in a tough workout, meet new friends and set a positive tone for the day ahead.

Prana Fitness

Prana Fitness is a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit that promotes health and fitness. Founded by Sarah Tinkler and led by a dedicated board of directors, this group puts on free yoga workshops and other fitness events across Colorado as well as maintains a strong online presence with free workout videos on its website and motivation on its social media. Prana Fitness seeks to make healthy living and fitness support accessible to everyone regardless of their ability to pay or their current fitness level. Move, have fun, meet positive friends, and feel more alive.


Pearl Street Fitness
Featured as one of Denver's "best kept fitness secrets" and a "fitness hot spot," Pearl Street Fitness offers boutique-sized locations loaded with personality. Fresh full-body workouts served daily will keep your mind and body guessing, so you'll never get bored. A fun, people-driven workout experience that carries the pulse of the local neighborhood and is building a movement of Strong. Confident. People. In addition to its free Civic Center MOVES classes on Thursday evenings, Pearl Street Fitness offers over 100 classes to choose from weekly in three Denver locations: Wash Park, Cherry Creek and Highlands with small class sizes of 8-14 people.

November Project – Denver
The November Project was started in Boston and has spread to 15 cities across North America. It is a grassroots free fitness movement with a focus on building community and friendships.
