Civic Center Gala

Sat., Feb. 28, 2015 | McNichols Building | 6:00 PM

If you’ve ever enjoyed the food trucks and live music at Civic Center EATS, celebrated with the incredible fireworks at Civic Center’s Independence Eve, picnicked under the stars at a free Civic Center Bike-In Movie, or revved your endorphins during a free Civic Center MOVES workout…you know the Civic Center Conservancy knows how to have fun. Why should our 10th Birthday Party be any different?!!

The nonprofit Civic Center Conservancy will celebrate its 10th birthday at the third-annual Civic Center Gala on Saturday, February 28, 2015, at 6:00 p.m. in the McNichols Civic Center Building (144 W. Colfax) - the historic Carnegie Library in Civic Center Park’s northwest corner.

For the last 10 years, the Civic Center Conservancy has worked to realize the vision Denver’s leaders had for Civic Center Park a century ago - as a thriving urban oasis that would inspire civic pride, economic prosperity and cultural vitality. After decades of challenges --  infrastructure improvements, expanded safety and maintenance operations, new public programs and events are breathing new life into this nearly 100-year old landmark, but we need your help to ensure Civic Center continues to thrive.

Co-chaired by Yvette and Chris Frampton and Christy and Ferd Belz, the Civic Center Gala features a cocktail reception, seated dinner,  live auction, and after-party with music and dancing.  Proceeds from the Civic Center Gala support the Conservancy’s free community programs aimed at revitalizing Civic Center Park - elevating and sustaining this newly-designated National Historic Landmark as a vibrant and iconic cultural hub.  Governor John Hickenlooper and Mayor Michael B. Hancock are honorary co-chairs of the Civic Center Gala.  Suncor and MDC/Richmond American Homes Foundation are the Gala's Supporting Sponsors; East West Partners is a Benefactor Sponsor.

The 2015 Civic Center Gala Host Committee includes Lisa and Bruce Alexander; Elaine and Richard Asarch, M.D.; Donna and Rex Carpenter; Patty Shaw Castilian and Chris Castilian; Justin Cooper and Jennifer Crick; Tami and Rick Door; Mark Falcone and Ellen Bruss; Robin and Cole Finegan; Susan and Harry Frampton; Mary and Jon Gambrill; Susan and Bruce Heitler; Dennis Humphries; Kelly and Bruce James; Lindy Eichenbaum Lent and Jason Lent; Kasia Iwaniczko MacLeod and David MacLeod; Matt Mahoney and Patty Yanker; Chad McWhinney; Erin and Matt Neren; Nancy and Andy Nielsen; Susan and Howard Noble; Marcus Pachner and Stacie Loucks; Sarie and Kevin Patterson; Jolie and Greg Schmidt; Susan and Ron Tilton; JoAnn and Rich von Luhrte; Jennifer and Stephen Webster, and Laura and Todd Wheeler.
