The nonprofit Civic Center Conservancy is dedicated to restoring, enhancing and activating downtown Denver’s historic Civic Center Park – the 12-acre historic urban oasis surrounded by the Colorado State Capitol, Denver Public Library, Denver Art Museum, Denver City and County Building and downtown Denver commercial business district.
Known for its annual Independence Eve Celebration, Civic Center EATS Outdoor Café, Bike-in Movies and Civic Center MOVES free fitness series, as well as its advocacy and fundraising for all things Civic Center Park, the Conservancy will celebrate its 10th birthday at the third-annual Civic Center Gala on Saturday, February 28, 2015, at 6:00 p.m. in the historic McNichols Civic Center Building (144 W. Colfax) - the historic Carnegie Library in Civic Center Park’s northwest corner.
Co-chaired by Yvette and Chris Frampton and Christy and Ferd Belz, the Civic Center Gala features a cocktail reception, seated dinner, live auction, and after-party with live entertainment and dancing.
Proceeds from the Civic Center Gala support the Conservancy’s free community programs aimed at revitalizing Civic Center Park - elevating and sustaining this newly-designated National Historic Landmark as a vibrant and iconic cultural hub.
